Good morning, Fort Greene and Clinton Hill.

Get outside this weekend, locals, because Monday brings rain showers to the nabe, according to the National Weather Service. And who knows how long before it turns into that white, fluffy stuff again? Let us know how you’re taking advantage of the warm fall weekend in the comments, and don’t forget to take pictures of you weekend fun and add them to The Nabe’s Flickr group.

  • Greene Grape Provisions, an artisan grocery store currently located at 753 Fulton Street, will be cutting the ribbon to its expansion at 767-769 Fulton Street at 6 p.m. today. With the added space, the store will host classes on healthy eating and the original store will be converted into a cafe and community space. Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz and Public Advocate-elect Letitia James will be at tonight’s festivities to see the expanded space.
  • Sunday is NYPD & Community Day in the nabe. To take part in the celebration, head out to P.S. 67 at 51 Saint Edwards Street, between Myrtle and Park Avenues. Phillip Banks, chief of the NYPD, will be the day’s guest speaker at the event, which is sponsored by Rev. Fred Lucas and the Brooklyn Community Church.
  • On Monday, the Community Board 2’s Parks and Recreation Committee will hold its regular meeting.
