Good morning, Fort Greene and Clinton Hill.

We’re back posting today, following a short break for some mid-week Christmas celebrations. Though the holiday might be wrapped, the week of Kwanzaa is just starting today. Whatever holiday you’re celebrating, be sure to share photos of the fun with us in The Nabe’s Flickr group.

Here’s more news from around the nabe:

  • Banners advertising the Barclays Center in some residential areas around the arena were removed this week thanks to complaints that were listened to, according to the Atlantic Yard Report. The ads, which first appeared in Sept. 2012 but were removed days later, returned thanks to the city’s marketing organization NYC & Company, according to the blog. What do you think about ads on side streets around the arena, locals?
  • Looking for a last-minute appetizer or side dish to impress your New Year’s guests? Check out the three sustainable, American-raised caviar options available now at the Greene Grape. The store is taking orders until this weekend for caviar, including wild Hackleback Sturgeon, farm-raised California Transmontanous White Sturgeon and farm-raised Imperial Ossetra from North Carolina. The store is also your stop for Blinis and Creme Fraiche.
