The Day: Clinton Hill Fire, Community Board 2 Meeting and a Jazz Festival
Good morning, Fort Greene and Clinton Hill.
We hope you enjoyed the spring weather this weekend. Today brings a chance of rain this evening, according to the National Weather Service, so remember to take your umbrella when you’re out in the neighborhood. As always, if you’re snapping pictures while you’re out, remember to share your photos in the Nabe’s Flickr group.
Here’s some local news to start your week:
- Three Clinton Hill locals were injured in a fire on the second floor of a building on Saturday morning, reported NY1. One person was hurt after jumping out of a window. The New York City Fire Department did not have information at the time on how the fire was started.
- Jazz fans, listen up: the Central Brooklyn Jazz Festival is running through April 30 in Fort Greene, The New York Times reported. If you’re already planning your weekend, the Jeff King Septet will play on Friday at 8 p.m. Jazz 966, 966 Fulton Street.
