Credit Card Skimmer Found at Brighton Beach Bank
BRIGHTON BEACH – Police are looking for two men who attempted to skim credit card numbers from a bank ATM in Brighton Beach last month.
Early in the morning of Wednesday, November 15, two men entered the Apple Bank at 405 Brighton Beach Ave, near Brighton 4th Street. There, they installed a credit card skimming device and a small camera onto the ATM, said police. They returned that Sunday, November 19, and took the camera, but left the skimmer in place.
Police say no unauthorized transactions have yet been reported due to this incident. Surveillance photos of the suspects taken from the bank can be seen below:
Police described the suspects as two white men, approximately 25-35 years old. The first was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and white sneakers. The second man, who had a mustache, was last seen wearing a green jacket, blue jeans and gray hat.
