Creative Writing, Knitting, Computer Class & More At The Kensington Library This Week

There’s much happening at the Kensington Library (4207 18th Avenue) this week, from a knitting class this afternoon to a creative writing group on Friday.

Wednesday, January 14

  • Kids Create: Kids Knit Now! Children are invited to learn how to knit (this time around, they’ll be making scarves!) this afternoon from 4-5pm. Please pick up a ticket for the class at the children’s reference desk.

Thursday, January 15

  • ESOL Class. This free ESOL/Civics class is for adults 17 and older whose first language is not English. Beginner and intermediate classes are offered and are taught by experienced teachers. Registration is required. To learn more, call the library at 718-436-0545. 5-8pm.

Friday, January 16

  • Computer Basics Class. All adults are invited to this class on Windows Movie Maker. No experience is necessary, but registration is required by calling 718-436-0545. 1-2pm.
  • Creative Writing Club. With the guidance of a professional writer, teens can work on their creative writing process in a welcoming and encouraging environment. 4-5pm.
