Cops After Two Suspects In Flatbush Avenue Shooting

The NYPD is searching for two men wanted for a shooting that occurred outside a Flatbush Avenue hair salon over the weekend.

The first suspect allegedly passed a handgun to the second suspect on the street outside 1227 Flatbush Avenue, near Newkirk Avenue, at approximately 3:50am on Sunday, according to police reports. The second man then fired shots, hitting another 35-year-old man once in the left thigh. The injured man was rushed to Kings County Hospital, where he is in stable condition, according to police.

At the time of the shooting, the victim was standing outside talking with two women on Flatbush avenue. The suspects and the victims don’t appear to know each other, police say.

The first suspect is described as a short black male, about 25 to 30 years old, 5 feet 3 inches to 5 feet 5 inches tall, and 180 to 185 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue baseball cap, a white t-shirt and blue jeans.

The second suspect is described as an average-build black male with glasses, about 25 to 30 years old, 5 feet 10 inches to 5 feet 11 inches, 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and dark colored shorts.

Police released surveillance video of the two suspects on the street. The first man can be seen removing his shirt near a parked car, then approaching the second man with what appears to be a phone in hand.
