Cops Suspect Three Teens Of Series of “Forcible Touching” Across Brooklyn
A series of sexual assaults — specifically, groping incidents classified as “forcible touching” — has Brooklyn women nervous and local cops scrambling to catch the three or four teens suspected in the attacks, which all took place this past Friday, July 10 around Downtown Brooklyn and Prospect Heights.
Surveillance video shows the second incident, with Hispanic males in their teens riding bicycles along the sidewalk, one of them grabbing a woman’s buttocks and the others following behind him.
The first incident occurred at 7:50am on Friday near 122 Tillary Street when a 33-year-old woman was groped on the buttocks and breasts. Five minutes later another woman was groped on the buttocks while walking into a restaurant at 234 Adams Street.
A short time later, at 8:30am, a 31-year-old woman on Bergen Street near Vanderbilt Avenue was grabbed on the buttocks by one of the suspects. Then, at 9:10am, a 29-year-old woman near Fifth and Flatbush Avenues was groped on the butt.
In the first, third, and fourth incidents, the victims reported the attack to the police. The second incident was reported by a witness.
Although these incidents took place in the 84 Precinct and 78 Precinct, all local precincts, including our 88 Precinct, as well as others across the city, are on alert. That is actually how the above image of the suspects — taken at the south pool of the World Trade Center earlier that morning — was discovered.
Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS or submit a tip online or via text to 274637(CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
