Cops Release Surveillance Photos In May Shooting Outside Habana Outpost

Last month’s shooting at the corner of Fulton and South Portland Streets, near Habana Outpost and Greenlight Bookstore, remains unsolved and cops are now releasing descriptions and surveillance photos of a suspect and a possible person of interest, as well as their getaway cars.

The shooting suspect is described as “a male black, unknown age, approximately 6’2″ tall, wearing grey sweatpants, grey sweatshirt on his head, white t-shirt.”

The suspect wanted for questioning is “a male black, wearing all grey, with white sneakers and black laces.”

Both were seen fleeing in two groups, one westbound on Fulton Street in a grey minivan, and one southbound on South Portland Avenue in a dark sedan.

The original incident occurred at around 8pm on Monday, May 4 as an argument between two groups outside 753 Fulton Street, which escalated to gunfire being exchanged across Fulton Street. A 23-year-old woman and 17-year-old teen were shot, the girl grazed in the back while walking on Fulton and the male shot in the right thigh. Both received treatment at separate hospitals.
