Cops Release Photos Of Suspects In Attempted Robbery Of Scott Jewelers
The NYPD released images of the three men behind Wednesday’s failed armed robbery attempt at Kings Highway’s Scott Jewelers.
The images show three men entering the store, hiding their faces with hoods and masks. Seperate images taken from surveillance footage on the street show one of the men before he fully covered his face, but the quality remains too low to immediately make out his features. Cops hope they might generate leads from the public, who may identify them on physique and clothing.
All three are described as black males wearing all black, with masks and hoods.
The attempted robbery of the store, at 1220 Kings Highway, took place in broad daylight. The men entered the store at 3:15pm. As one turned towards the business’ armed security guard, the suspect began to draw a black revolver. The heroic guard swatted at the would-be gunman’s hand, causing a shot to be fired before he dropped the weapon.
Another suspect dropped a hammer he was carrying before the three turned tail and ran, fleeing in a car. No one was injured, with the stray bullet striking a wall.
