Police are hunting for leads that could help them find the depraved person who dragged a 75-year-old woman down an outdoor stairwell on North Oxford Walk near the Ingersoll Houses, where he sexually assaulted, beat, and robbed her of her wallet.

The elderly woman was collecting cans and bottles at around 8am on New Year’s Day when the suspect attacked her, reported CBS2 News. A passersby found her there, bleeding, her pants down, and her eye socket fractured.

She was taken to the hospital, where she will continue to receive treatment for at least another week, according to her daughter, who added that her mother is still in pain and does not recall what happened, as she has been exhibiting early signs of Alzheimer’s disease.

If anyone has any information, they are encouraged to contact the NYPD‘s Sex Crimes hotline at 212-267-RAPE.
