Congrats to Our Greenest Block Semifinalists

The Brooklyn Botanic Garden just announced the semifinalists in its Greenest Block in Brooklyn competition, and we’ve got so many to root for:

• East 17th Street between Avenue H and Glenwood Road (Fiske Terrace Association)

• East 19th Street between Avenue H and Glenwood Road (Fiske Terrace Association)

• Glenwood Road between East 17th Street and B/Q Subway Line (Fiske Terrace Association)

• Vanderveer Place between Flatbush Avenue and East 23rd Street (Vanderveer Place Block Association)

• Cortelyou Road between Westminster Road and Argyle Road, odd side (Cortelyou Road Merchants Association)

• Newkirk Plaza between Newkirk and Foster Avenues (Friends of Newkirk Plaza)

First Prize is $300 check for each top residential and commercial block winner, and other finalists will receive cash prizes ranging from $100 to $200. Winners will be announced in August.
