Concerts, Movie Night, Art Classes & More To Do In Greenwood Playground This August

From a family movie night to crafts for adults, there’s a ton happening at Greenwood Playground (located at Fort Hamilton Parkway and E. 5th Street) this August, thanks to the Friends of Greenwood Playground!

All events at the playground are free.

Here’s what you can look forward to:

Saturday, August 1

Clothing, Book And Toy Sale
10am-1pm
Come peruse all the clothing, books and toys at the sale that’s being organize by Friends of Greenwood Playground. The group is accepting donations on the morning of the event, beginning at 8am. Folks who want to donate must be willing to help volunteers sorts through items.

Brooklyn Bass Daddy Concert
11am
Take a break from shopping and get your groove on at the Brooklyn Bass Daddy concert.

Wednesday, August 5

Robin Body Storytelling
10am
All ages are welcome to attend this event in the Tot Lot.

Sing-along with Jen Milich
4pm
Meet at the flagpole for a fun round of singing and dancing.

Thursday, August 6

Chalk It Up With Melissa
10am
Meet at the flagpole and bring chalk for this morning chock full of art.

Private Picassos

Family Art With Art Of Parenting

Children of all ages and their caregivers are welcome to attend this morning of art with the folks from the Art of Parenting.

Adult Watercolor Workshop

Family Movie Night
Doors open at 7:30pm

Friends Of Greenwood Playground Present The Black And Gold Marching Elite
4pm
Watch as the always incredible Black and Gold Marching Elite wows the crowd with their musical performances.

Tuesday, August 25

Make Mail With Melissa
4-6pm
Children ages 4 and up are invited, along with their caregivers, to meet at the chess tables to have some snail mail fun.

Sunday, August 30

Learn To Ride A Bike
12-2pm
Children ages 5 and up can learn to ride a bike with Bike NYC, a nonprofit that promotes bicycling throughout the city.

Monday, August 31
