Concerned About Crime In The Neighborhood? Attend This Wednesday’s 70th Precinct Meeting
This Wednesday, October 29, neighbors are invited to attend the 70th Precinct Community Council meeting – when you’ll be able to speak directly with police officers and legislators about concerns regarding crime in the area.
The meeting will be held at 7:30pm at 175 Lawrence Avenue.
With a number of recent crimes that have happened in our area, including the Rugby Road home invasion and murder of neighbor Leonard Phillips and the armed robbery at Mimi’s Hummus, neighbors said they hope there will be a large turnout Wednesday night. To further generate interest about the gathering, Community Board 14 member and neighbor Jonathan Judge created a Facebook event inviting the community to the meeting – and you’re welcome to invite people you know via that Facebook page.
We as a community need to talk with 70th Precinct officials at the next Community Council meeting to find out what’s going on and how we as a community can help do something about it going forward.
