Come, Hear From Your Candidates in Southern Brooklyn

SOUTHERN BROOKLYN — Dyker Heights Civic Association and the Bay Ridge Community Council will hold a candidate’s forums this week in Southern Brooklyn.

The Dyker Heights Civic Association will host their forum on Tuesday, October 9 at St. Phillips Parish Hall located at 1072 80th St.

Southern Brooklyn residents will have a chance to meet candidates running for New York State Senate and Assembly in Southern Brooklyn, including:

  • Mathylde Frontus (D) and Steve Saperstein (R) running for the vacant seat in the 46th assembly district.
  • Assemblyman Peter Abbate (D) and Rosemary Mangano (C) running for the 49th Assembly District seat.
  • State Sen. Marty Golden (R) and Andrew Gounardes (D) running for the 22nd Senatorial District.

President of the Dyker Heights Civic Association and Conservative Party Chair Fran Vella- Marrone will moderate the debate. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the debate will begin at 8:00 p.m.

The Bay Ridge Community Council will host a congressional forum on Friday, October 12 at Xaverian High School located at 7100 Shore Rd. Confirmed to attend:

  • Henry Bardel (G), Congressman Dan Donovan (R) and Max Rose (D) running for the 11th congressional seat.

Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the debate is from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
