Collect Bottle Caps For Open Source & Win a Free Bit Bots Class

If you have a big stash of bottles collecting dust in your recycling bin, Open Source Gallery is looking for you.

The group’s after-school program is constructing hundreds of gravity racers for this year’s World Maker Faire, and they’re on the lookout for plastic bottle caps that they can use as wheels.

They’ve set a pretty lofty goal — 2,015 bottle caps — but the top cap collector who delivers the goods to Open Source by Friday, September 25, will win a free 8-week BitBots class (valued at $400). Not too shabby!

In addition to the bottle caps, Open Source is also looking for plastic Hot Wheels tracks.

Donations should be placed in a bag, labeled with your name and contact information, and delivered to Open Source during gallery hours: September 23-25 from 2-7pm.
