CIA Traffic Update
It’s not much of an update, just more of the same. Reader alsivi sends these photos from Sunday and Monday afternoons, showing the M&M Auto Glass sign still standing in a traffic lane, and cars double parked or jutting out into traffic on either side of it.
As many of you noted, because the stretch of Coney Island Avenue from Parkside to Ditmas serves as the border between many of our city services, that side of the street is the responsibility of Community Board 12 and the 66th Police Precinct.
To lodge a complaint, you can contact CB12 at 718-851-0800, and the 66th Community Affairs office at 718-851-5601. The next 66th Community Council meeting is April 24, 7:30pm, at 5910 13th Ave.
Additionally, I’ve set up a SeeClickFix report. Go check it out, vote for it, and maybe that will do something to help move this along (though another one, set up last year, obviously didn’t do much). I think the more votes it gets, the better, so go click now.
Please continue to report blocked streets and sidewalks to 311, either by phone or online. And email us pictures–we’ll keep posting them until something changes.
