Christmas In The Slope: Where To Eat Out On December 24

Whether you’re looking for a place to bring the whole family, or just looking for a spot to have a quiet meal, several restaurants around the Slope will be open and serving Christmas Eve dinner on Tuesday, December 24. Here are some of the options – but remember, if you’d like to make a reservation, you should do it soon!

A.O.C. Bistro

Christmas Eve hours: 3:30pm to 10pm and Christmas Day hours: 10am to 10pm
Highlights: Lobster bisque, filet mignon, traditional Buche de Noel and more.
Cost: A la carte

Benchmark
339A 2nd Street (between 4th and 5th Avenues), 718-965-7040
Christmas Eve Hours: 11:30am to 3pm and then from 5pm to 11pm
Highlights: Benchmark says that they’ll be open on Christmas Eve for all of your “omnivorous needs!” The restaurant noted on Facebook today, though, that spots are filling up fast, so call ASAP.

Giovanni’s Brooklyn Eats
1657 8th Avenue at Prospect Avenue, 718-788-8001
Christmas Eve Hours: 11am to 11pm
Highlights: It’s a seafood feast at Giovanni’s on Christmas Eve. Look for four courses plus dessert. The full menu can be found here.
Cost: $49 (plus 20% gratuity added to all checks)

Okeanos
314 7th Avenue at 8th Street, 347-725-4162
Christmas Eve Hours: 11am to 11pm
Highlights: Okeanos told us on Friday afternoon that the chef will be making a number of Christmas Eve specials, but that there will not be a pre-fixe. We do hear rumors of some tasty holiday cocktails, though.
