Check Out Kickstarter Film Fest 2014 This July 18 In Fort Greene Park
Hey, Fort Greene film buffs–have we got exciting news for you! On Friday, July 18, crowd funding site Kickstarter will be hosting its fourth annual film festival in our very own Fort Greene Park.
All of the feature length and short films shown at this year’s festival–including Obvious Child, Rich Hill, Night of the Living Deb, Tomorrow We Disappear, Backstreet Atlas, Elvis loses his…, Planet Money Makes A T-Shirt, The Burning House, Circle of Abstract Ritual, Walking Through That Door, Prospect, First to Fall, Little Feet, Me & Ewe, Stan, World Fair, and Wonder–were funded by successful Kickstarter projects, and were chosen from 1,069 entries.
While the films will be available for free to stream live online during the fest, additional special events will be taking place at the park, including performances by Kaki King and the Asphalt Orchestra marching band–plus Butter and Scotch, Pop Karma, La Sonrisa Empanadas, and Brooklyn Soda Works will be serving up tasty treats.
The free admission, no-RSVP-necessary event, held with the help of the Fort Greene Park Conservancy, starts at 7pm on the 18th–so grab your friends and a blanket and enjoy!
