Check Out Free Readings & Performances Tomorrow Night At Pratt

Pratt will be hosting Now Before And After Is Not Enough, an evening of no-cost public performances and readings tomorrow (Thursday, August 28) to celebrate the launch of their new MFA writing program. From 6-7:30pm, audiences will be treated to work by scribes who tackle poetry, fiction, play writing, and more, including Jacques Servin, LaTasha N. Nevada Diggs, Celina Su, and Mendi (a professor in the program) and Keith Obadike, among others.

Pratt says their new two year graduate program aims “to support and encourage intellectually rigorous and inspired writing practices that are philosophically, culturally, and politically-informed.” The addition of the program was announced last year, and this fall will welcome its first class.

Join neighbors at Pratt’s Higgins Hall Auditorium (61 Saint James Place at Lafayette Avenue) for the literary celebration.
