Check Out "Brunch On Sundays," A New Web Series Produced By Matt Manna

Neighbor Matt Manna’s latest project, Brunch on Sundays, is set to premiere online this Thursday, June 6. The series follows twenty-something Charlie and her friends Leah and Paula as they dine in Brooklyn and rehash (what they can remember from) the night before. A press release for the series says:

As web series sweep the nation, Brunch on Sundays stands out as a refreshing yet topical look at a new generation’s world of dating… or lack thereof. Take the clueless Gen-Yers of Girls, mix in the cocktails and camaraderie of Sex and the City, and serve it in the comedic style of The Mindy Project; that’s Brunch on Sundays.

You can watch the trailer for the series below–but be warned, it’s a little risque (definitely NSFW, as morning after conversations tend to be).

Matt, a Brooklyn College graduate, produced and edited the series. Previously, he wrote and directed Homecoming, a film set in the 1950’s about a boy coming to terms with his father returning disfigured from war.

It looks like Charlie & Co. have got a regular brunch spot–but maybe if they film a second season, we’ll see some familiar Ditmas Park restaurants?
