Changes To Local Subway Lines This Week

A heads up to late-night subway riders: Watch out for some skipped local stops on the D and N trains, long with some other issues that may extend your trip. Details from the MTA:

Coney Island-bound D trains skip Union St, 4 Av-9 St, Prospect Av, and 25 St
Late nights, 11:45pm to 5am, Monday to Friday, July 7-11
For service to these stations, take the D to 36 St and transfer to a Manhattan-bound D or N. For service from these stations, take the D or N to Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr and transfer to a Coney Island-bound D.

F service operates in two sections
Late nights, 12:01am to 5am, Tuesday to Friday until July 11
Service operates between: 1. 179 St and Jay St-MetroTech, and via the A to/from Hoyt-Schermerhorn; and 2. Stillwell Av and Bergen St, and via the G to/from Bedford-Nostrand Avs. Transfer at Hoyt-Schermerhorn to continue your trip.

G trains run every 20 minutes
Late evenings, beginning 11pm, Monday through Thursday until July 24
Allow additional travel time.

Coney Island-bound N trains skip Union St, 4 Av-9 St, Prospect Av, 25 St, 45 St, and 53 St
Late nights, 11:45pm to 5am, Monday to Friday, July 7-11
For service to Union St, 4 Av-9 St, Prospect Av, and 25 St, take the N to 36 St and transfer to a Manhattan-bound N or D. For service from these stations, take the N or D to Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr and transfer to a Coney Island-bound N. For service to 45 and 53 Sts, take the N to 59 St and transfer to an Astoria-bound N. For service from these stations, take the to 36 St and transfer to a Coney Island-bound N.

No R shuttle train between 59 St and 36 St
Late nights, 11:45pm to 5am, Monday to Friday, July 7-11
R service operates between 95 St and 59 St. Take the N instead. Transfer between trains at 59 St.

No R trains between Lower Manhattan and Downtown Brooklyn
All times until October 2014
No R service at City Hall, Cortlandt, Rector, Whitehall, Court Streets, and Jay Street-MetroTech. R service operates between Forest Hills-71st Avenue and Bay Ridge-95th Street. Trains run via the Q in both directions between Canal Street and DeKalb Avenue.

Additionally, look out for changes further along the 2, 5, B, D, F, and Q lines.
