Cast Your Vote For Proposed District 39 Participatory Budgeting Projects

If you live within the confines of City Council District 39, get excited–this week, you can help Councilmember Brad Lander spend $1 million in discretionary funds through Participatory Budgeting. All district residents 16 and older are welcome, regardless of immigration status or whether they are registered to vote with the Board of Elections–just bring a form of ID that shows where you live. Here’s what’s on the ballot this year:

Neighbors can vote at Councilmember Lander’s District Office (456 5th Avenue between 9th and 10th Streets) from 7:30am-8pm daily until Thursday, April 3. Then on Saturday, April 5, you can vote at the nearby PS 230 Lower School (425 McDonald Avenue between Church Avenue and Albemarle Road) from 10am-7pm; and on Sunday, April 6, at the nearby Kings Bay Y at Windsor Terrace (1224 Prospect Avenue between Vanderbilt Street and Reeve Place) from 10am-5pm. There’s a full list of locations and times here.

We’ll post information about Participatory Budgeting in District 44 tomorrow–but if you’d like to vote before then, you can find out about projects and voting times and locations here.
