Carlos Menchaca Makes List Of 40 Under Forty Rising Political Stars

Congratulations are in order for Carlos Menchaca, council member-elect for District 38, who was recently named one of City & State’s rising political stars under the age of 40.

Menchaca, 33, defeated incumbent Sara Gonzalez in the September primary with 57.6% of the vote. With no Republican candidate on the ballot, he will officially take office in January.
