Car Accident Victim Wants Help Tracking Down Culprit
One of the participants of the accident we told you about yesterday – in which two vehicles collided on Knapp Street and Shore Parkway, knocking one of them into a street pole – wrote to us asking for some help.
Julie J. tells her side of the story, in which she says another driver ran a light then blocked the intersection, paints her as the victim and the other driver as the culprit. We’re eager to hear the other side of the story, but in the meantime, Julie is asking for help in tracking down the other driver.
She writes:
I was involved in that accident and want the truth out there. I’ve attached photos you may use on the website. I was in the silver Equinox that hit the pole. We came off the Belt and were traveling over Knapp Street on Shore Parkway when the green Honda ran the red light, saw us and froze blocking the entire intersection. We couldn’t avoid him but tried. We hit him causing his car to spin 90 degrees and then we hit the pole. I called 911 for the driver of the other car who complained of abdominal and rib pain. Two fire trucks, highway patrol and two emts responded. Unfortunately, due to the severity of the accident we know nothing about the car that ran the red like if he has insurance. I’m hoping that by providing you with more details we might get witnesses to come forward in case we need it. I thank you for doing what you can to help with this matter. I’m shocked to for once be the news on Sheepshead Bites.
If you have any information regarding this accident, please e-mail nberke [at] sheepsheadbites [dot] com and we’ll pass it on to Julie.
