Calling All Writers! Learn How To Pen A Memoir At A Free Workshop With Author Donna Minkowitz

It’s probably safe to say that, at some point, we’ve all had something happen in our lives and thought, “we’ve gotta write this down.”

Now you can learn the best way to weave together all those hilarious and poignant moments that create our lives at a free writers workshop with the award-winning author Donna Minkowitz at the Windsor Terrace Library (160 E. 5th Street, at Fort Hamilton Parkway) on Saturday, December 13 from 2-4pm.

A former columnist at The Village Voice, Minkowitz will “teach the basics of memoir writing, using our emotions, senses, and storytelling,” the library said. Minkowitz is well versed in the art of memoir writing, having taught it for more than 17 years, and she has also written for The New York Times Book Review, Salon, New York magazine, Ms., The Nation, and more.

The workshop is open to all adults. Participants can register at the library’s website or by calling 718-686-9707.
