Buy a Neighbor’s Art, Help Kids in Africa

Erica Harris, a Kensington neighbor and artist who recently assisted with the painting of the Uncover Church Avenue murals, is selling prints of her work as a fundraiser for The Duk Lost Boys Clinic in Jonglei, South Sudan. The money will be used to buy medicine, train midwives and doctors, and vaccinate children.

Prints are available through the end of July at Brooklyn Commune on Greenwood Ave in Windsor Terrace, which is a quick drive, walk, bike ride, or trip on the B68 bus. There will also be photos on exhibit that Erica took in January of the kids thanking Brooklyn Commune and its patrons who raised money for the first Brooklyn Commune Community Scholarship funding a student for a year.
