Business Openings And Closings in 2014 & What’s On The Horizon For 2015

It has been quite the year for businesses opening and closing in the neighborhood, from restaurants and bakeries to beauty salons and yoga centers. As we move into the new year, we wanted to take a look back at everything that has flung open their doors to our community, as well as bid us adieu.

As for 2015, there’s already quite a bit happening on the business horizon, including the hope that 773 Lounge will soon be able to reopen after it was destroyed by a fire in November, and next month’s openings of the revitalized Kings Theatre and Kari Browne’s ELK Café. Plus, Ox Cart Tavern’s Jim Mamary and David Pitula are opening an Asian fusion restaurant on Cortelyou Road.

We’re looking forward to seeing what happens over the next year!
