Building On Corner Of Stratford & Cortelyou Sells For $2 Million

1029-1035 Cortelyou, a large property on the corner of Stratford Road, has just sold for $2 million cash, according to Massey Knakal Realty Services.

Nick Mahedy, a representative of the company who handled the sale, says there were over 20 cash offers on the 3,578 square foot property, which sits on a 60’ x 71’ irregular lot and ultimately sold for above asking price at about $559 per square foot.

Until recently, the building was home to a sort of, sometimes antique store. As for the space’s future, Massey Knakal says the property can be used as three separate retail spaces or one large space, and air rights mean there’s also potential for vertical development–so we may be seeing some new construction on the corner soon.
