Let there be light at Building 77.

The Brooklyn Navy Yard’s largest building now has 393 window cut-outs on all sides that require it as part of the ongoing renovation and revitalization project that will eventually bring a public food hall to the ground floor, as well as space in the remaining floors for food manufacturing businesses and employee spaces.

Each window is six feet high by 17 feet-3-inches wide and, together, makes the imposing concrete structure that was once a storage facility for the U.S. Navy a bit more welcoming.

Next up: finishing the replacement of glass panels for 300 existing windows and interior renovations.
