Brooklyn Game Lab Coming To 7th Avenue February 1

BrooklynGameLab

If you have a board or card game fan in your life, you won’t want to miss the new Brooklyn Game Lab, opening on February 1 at 353 7th Avenue (near the corner of 10th Street).

Owner Bob Hewitt tells us that the after school program will allow students ages 8 to 15 to “play board games, analyze game mechanics in a group setting, and design their own game extensions.”

Basic lab sessions are two hours long, with an optional third hour of free game play and/or further analysis of the topics discussed in the first two hours. In addition to the after school sessions, evening and Sunday times will also be available. Saturdays are reserved for party rentals.

Sessions are purchased by the hour: $216 for 6 hours, $540 for 18 hours and $864 for 36 hours.

If you adults were starting to feel a little game lab envy, special adult nights are also in the works. Look for details after the February opening.

For more information, including descriptions of the lab’s curriculum, session times, and registration forms, visit the Brooklyn Game Lab website, or email info@brooklyngamelab.com.

Welcome to the neighborhood, Brooklyn Game Lab!
