Brooklyn Artists—Enter To Redesign Peapod Delivery Trucks
Online grocer Peapod is seeking a “fresh look” for its fleet of green delivery trucks and the company is calling upon Brooklyn artists for help.
Since launching its services in Brooklyn in 2015, Peapod has been “inspired by the borough’s strong artistic presence that helps define the community.” To celebrate Brooklyn’s creative spirit, Peapod has launched its “Brooklyn Inspired Truck Contest,” a competition for all artists—professional, non-professional, and students—to have their art featured on Peapod’s New York City delivery trucks.
Submitted artwork must celebrate Brooklyn as well as the food the Peapod trucks deliver. Artists can their upload their submissions at FromthePod.com until May 3.
On May 5, Peapod will announce ten semi-finalists from which the public will then have until May 12 to vote for their favorite. Five finalists will have their artwork featured on NYC Peapod trucks beginning in June.
In addition to having his/her art featured on the trucks, the artist with the most votes will win $2,000 in free groceries.
