Bring Your Pet To A Blessing Of The Animals At Saint Paul’s Church October 6
This Sunday, October 6, bring your best furry (or scaly, or feathery) friend to Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church (the yard is on Saint Pauls Court between Ocean Avenue and E 19th Street) for a Blessing of the Animals ceremony in honor of Saint Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals.
The event will start at 12:45pm with a gathering of neighbors around refreshments from Dunkin Donuts and Meat Palace Supreme, followed by a 1pm blessing by Father Sheldon Hamblin, and a 1:30pm guided tour of the church’s stained glass windows and music from the church’s 1956 Estey organ.
