Brewklyn Grind To Open Next Month On Myrtle Avenue
If you haven’t quite found your ideal café on Myrtle Avenue, you might be pleased to hear that seven months after signing a lease (and following several months of construction), Brewklyn Grind Coffee Roasters plans to open their Clinton Hill outpost in August.
“Construction is winding down,” says Brewklyn, who’ve been offering glimpses into the evolution of the space (557 Myrtle between Emerson and Classon) via their Instagram feed. “The plan is to open as soon as possible.”
The company has been posting photos on their Instagram as of late, showing a pressed tin ceiling and walls, wood floors, a bar with ample moulding, and some very 1940s-style pendant lamps.
Brewklyn Grind, which was started by brothers Craig, James, and Alain Farrelly in 2003, is currently based in Red Hook and is stocked at nearly 20 stores citywide. The company is known for its small batch roasting tweaked to showcase the nuances of different selected origins, as well as their insistence on packaging and stocking their beans within hours to maximize freshness.
Customers can look forward to bags, cups, and shots of single origin from Ethiopia, Indonesia, and Brazil among others, as well as a selection of teas for the non-coffee drinkers of the world.
We’ll keep you updated on new developments at Brewklyn Grind–but until opening day comes, you can also follow them on Facebook and Twitter.
