After a bit of a rough patch, Panda the Cat may just be your new best friend. According to sources in the neighborhood, she is silky and sweet and very loving.

Panda was found in Ditmas Park one cold October evening. She was terrified of the loud traffic and needed little encouragement (other than a can of salmon) to jump into Ditmas resident Phoebe Jonas’ carrier and be taken to safety.

A vet thought Panda may have been dropped or thrown out of a window, Jonas said. Her canine teeth are broken which could only happen upon impact.

Luckily, Panda seems unaffected by the trauma and is extremely affectionate.

Panda is about a year old. She is FeLV/FIV negative, spayed and vaccinated.

She is reportedly a big fan of laps, under-chin scratches and forehead kisses.

“She is ready to come for dinner, and every meal after that,” says Jonas.
