Bomb Threat Forces Midwood High School Evacuation This Morning
Midwood High School was evacuated this morning after someone called in a bomb threat to the school on on Tuesday morning, according to NYPD.
The phone-in bomb threat came in to the high school on 2839 Bedford Avenue at 11:12am on January 28, said cops.
The NYPD Bomb Squad was called to investigate the threat, but they found no explosives, officials said. Students were filing back into the building for class about two hours later.
The high school, which is affiliated with Brooklyn College, houses more than 3,800 students who all poured onto the street this morning.
The source of the threat is still unknown as of Tuesday afternoon. While some on twitter are attaching the hashtag #antisemitism to bomb threat, others are decrying the incident as a “hoax”.
