Bodacious Bulldog Takes Top Prize At Freddy’s First Doggie Fashion Show

A stout bulldog with pink toenails named Lola may have taken home the night’s top prize, but there were no losers at the first annual Doggie Fashion Show at Freddy’s Bar this past Friday!

Around a hundred people came out to cheer on the dapper pups, who strutted their stuff down a cat-walk as best they could before the whole thing devolved into a petting fest. And even though that sounds like the best part, it gets better — the event raised money for a Brooklyn animal shelter.

“The night, for me, was one of my favorites at Freddy’s…ever,” says co-owner Donald O’Finn. “We put together a sizable donation for the BARC no-kill shelter, and hopefully started a strong new tradition for the South Slope.

“Thank you, thank you for your support, it was great!”

It was indeed a ton of fun — but we think the pictures prove that, so enjoy!
