Bright red and faded red blood-splatters dot an approximately 10 foot long stretch of South Portland Avenue between Lafayette and DeKalb Avenues, alarming residents on their way to work and school the Monday morning after Thanksgiving weekend.

“[It was] a huge amount of blood from what appears to have been a shooting or stabbing, and remnants of crime scene tape,” said neighbor Chris Cobb. “Not sure what happened.”

The blood trail continued down DeKalb, according to a South Oxford Street resident, who said it continued “all the way to the hospital.”

An NYPD spokeswoman told us that there was no record of any police report about a stabbing, shooting, or any other violent altercation at or near that intersection on either Saturday or Sunday, November 28-29.

Hopefully that means that whoever was injured got treatment.

Do you know what happened here or who was hurt?
