We may be getting snow tonight, but don’t let that keep you from attending these six art events. From painting, aromatherapy, brunch, jazz, computational music, to an interdisciplinary installation in a hotel room, there’s something to stir all your senses.

Moving On by Sara Erenthal
When: March 4 – April 16 (opening reception Thursday, March 9, 6 to 9pm)
Where: FiveMyles, 558 Saint Johns Place, Prospect Heights
What: The opening of artist Sara Erenthal’s solo exhibition featuring new paintings that document seminal moments in her life such as being locked out on a balcony, running away from home, and being humiliated by a grade school teacher.

20 BIG Years
When: March 10 – 12 (opening reception Friday, March 10, 6 to 9pm)
Where: Bishop Gallery, 916 Bedford Avenue, Clinton Hill
What: An exhibition celebrating the legacy of rap legend Notorious B.I.G. who was shot to death 20 years ago today.

Curtis Roads/Eric Frye
When: Saturday, March 11, 8pm
Where: Issue Project Room, 22 Boerum Place, Boerum Hill
What: A performance by two artists working in computational music—pioneering computer musician and scholar Curtis Roads, and composer, artist, and curator Eric Frye.

The Sonic Jungle
When: Saturday, March 11, 3 to 11pm
Where: 299 Vandevoort Avenue, East Williamsburg
What: After a few last minute relocations due to DOB issues, this pop-up event’s second installation will take place in East Williamsburg, featuring music, art, live performances, infrared saunas and healing lounges, educational workshops, LED and eco art installations, herbal apothecary, and aromatherapy.

Fort Greene Park Winter Jazz Festival
When: Sunday, March 12, 2017, 3 to 7pm
Where: The Five Spot, 459 Myrtle Avenue, Fort Greene
What: Fort Greene Park Conservancy and Eric Frazier Productions present the first-ever Fort Greene Park Winter Jazz Festival featuring world-class musicians who will perform alongside Frazier’s band.
How Much: $15

3 to 1: An Artistic One Night Stand
When: Saturday March 11 at 7pm and Sunday, March 12 at 11am
Where: Nu Hotel, 85 Smith Street, Downtown Brooklyn
What: Three Brooklyn based artists— singer-songwriter Sophie Auster, dancer/choreographer K.k. Mayo, and media designer Sean B. Leo, will spend 24-hours in a downtown hotel room collaborating on an interdisciplinary installation before an audience while in process and after completion. On Saturday, guests can visit the suite after 8 hours of progress and attend a performance of dance, video art, and music in the hotel’s lobby. On Sunday, there will be a complimentary brunch and group visits to view the final suite installation, along with a post-performance talk with the artists.
