Bite Of The Day: The Fulton Sandwich From Lunitas

Lunitas (1039A Fulton Street between Downing Street and Irving Place) may have special events and goods for little kids, but that doesn’t mean any of us big kids should have to miss out. We stopped by recently for a bite, and were thrilled to find their scrumptious Fulton sandwich.

The first super important, major thing about the Fulton is that it’s made on a buttery, crumbly, cheesy, spicy cheddar chive biscuit from Colson Pastries. One of these puppies alone will run you $3.25 in Park Slope–but once you add some fluffy eggs, juicy tomatoes, perfectly ripe avocado, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper into the equation for a total of $7, it’s a pretty satisfying investment.

The other thing about Lunitas is they provide some of the most consistently lovely service we’ve come across anywhere–they’re incredibly friendly, they suggest custom drinks not on the menu that might suit your fancy, and they make everything (everything we’ve had, anyway) completely fresh. Plus, there’s always so much more seating than in Outpost across the street!

If the Fulton looks good to you, you can try one for yourself starting at 7am on weekday mornings, or 8am Saturday and Sunday.
