Bite Of The Day: Milk & Honey's Freshly-Baked Raspberry Muffin

It’s been really fun watching (and tasting) the evolution of Milk & Honey‘s menu over the past several weeks. From flatbread to avocado spread to bright red cherry Danishes, it’s all delectable–and their homemade raspberry muffin is no exception.

The treat looks more like a wonderful little breakfast pot pie, crunchy on the outside with a moist center that, at 9:30 this morning, was still warm. The granulated sugar sprinkled on top isn’t overwhelming, but adds to the fantastic textural element of the muffin, as do the whole fresh raspberries inside.

These goodies are $2.50, and unlike many muffins that come wrapped in cupcake liners (I am no stranger to humiliating myself by starting a crumb avalanche on the subway), these ones get major portability points. Next time you’re in a rush to hop on at Newkirk, these cuties are a good option for filling up on the go.
