Biker Snatching Jewelry From Elderly Men In Coney Island, Cops Say

Watch out for this man who police say is riding around Coney Island on a bike, snatching people’s jewelry.

He appears to be targeting elderly men wearing gold chains. The first reported incident occurred on July 3, at 1:05pm, when the suspect removed a gold chain from a 75-year-old male victim on West 29th Street, cops said. On July 9, at 1pm, the suspect took a 77-year-old male victim’s gold chain near Neptune Avenue and West 5th Street.

The suspect struck four more times in August, according to police authorities. He snatched a 81-year-old man’s chain on the Riegelmann Boardwalk near West 32nd Street on August 1. He swiped a 78-year-old victim’s gold chain on West 33rd Street and Neptune Avenue on August 3. The suspect grabbed a 66 year-old man’s gold bracelet on the boardwalk near West 32nd Street on August 11. Finally, on August 13, the suspect removed a 63-year-old victim’s gold chain on West 30th Street.

Cops have shared surveillance footage of the suspect.
