Bike the Branches and Support Brooklyn Public Library

Spring is upon is (just pretend the snow isn’t out there), so it’s time to start thinking about the fabulous outdoor activities that are on the horizon.

Dust off your bicycle and show the Brooklyn Public Library a little love by registering for May’s Bike the Branches. The day-long ride takes participants on an adventure through the borough’s network of 60 neighborhood libraries.

Choose your own route and set your own pace as you visit as many of our branches as you want, or follow one of our suggested routes to take a tour of Brooklyn’s storied waterfront, literary history, culinary highlights or architectural gems. Sign up to ride as an individual or with friends and co-workers, and ask your friends and family to sponsor your ride for BPL.

Select branches along the way will offer activities, and you won’t want to miss the Central Library’s Finish Line Celebration from 5pm to 7pm.

The ride is set to take place on Saturday, May 11 (Rain Date: Saturday, May 18) from 10am to 5pm. Registration is $20 for adults, $15 for students, $10 for children under 17, $40 for a family of up to 2 adults and 3 children, and $150 for a team of up to 10 people. All proceeds will benefit the Brooklyn Public Library.
