Big3 Basketball Hosts ‘Dribble Out Hunger’ Before Championship Game At Barclays

CROWN HEIGHTS – One Brooklyn Health System at Brookdale Hospital & Medical Center is teaming up with the BIG3 Basketball League and The Ricky Davis Legacy Foundation to present the “Dribble Out Hunger” campaign on Friday, August 24, before Big3’s championship game at the Barclays Center later that evening.

Founded in 2017 by rapper/actor/philanthropist Ice Cube and entertainment executive Jeff Kwatinetz, Big3 Basketball League is a 3-on-3 league featuring former NBA players. The league hosts “Dribble Out Hunger” events in each city it plays to serve the underprivileged and the homeless. Friday’s event will feature former NBA All-Stars and Hall of Famers and is expected to feed more than 700 people in central Brooklyn.

Former Boston Celtic and Miami Heat player Ricky Davis’ non-profit supports organizations across the country that address the social, health, and educational needs of disadvantaged urban communities.

For the Brooklyn event, The Ricky Davis Legacy Foundation is working with local groups to provide:

● haircuttting/hair braiding services
● personal hygiene supplies
● hot meals
● bags of fresh fruit
