A local entrepreneur landed his first contract with the Yankees this summer — for his chocolate flavored drinks, that is.

Linda’s Brooklyn-Style Egg Creams, which will operate a pop-up stand behind the right field bleachers in Yankee Stadium for every home game, is the brainchild of Christopher Gallo, a court officer and Bensonhurst native.

Egg creams, a New York old-time favorite with a fuzzy historical background, are made from just seltzer, chocolate syrup and milk. Gallo will offer chocolate, vanilla, and coffee egg creams, as well as a rotating flavor of the day.

A profile in the New York Daily News details Gallo’s modest, but loving upbringing. Raised by single mother — for whom the business is named — he told the outlet that his mom “did a lot with very, very little.”

More from the Daily News:

Family bonding took place at their Bensonhurst kitchen counter, where a young Gallo and his brother marveled at how easily their now-deceased mother mixed the simplest ingredients into a summertime treat.
Following school, as Gallo worked in sales, his mom encouraged him to take the civil service exam. Post-9/11, as the retail industry dried up, he got the call to report to the NYS Court Officers’ Academy.
While strolling the Coney Island boardwalk with his girlfriend several years ago, Gallo saw every manner of thirst quencher, except the one he yearned for. His throat parched, inspiration appeared as fast as a change-up pitch.

We wish Gallo the best on his new venture.
