As the month-long extravaganza known as “Eat And Shop Your Heart Out Cortelyou” wraps up, the Flatbush Development Corporation let us know that they’ll be celebrating the event’s grand finale with a raffle for three gift baskets chock full of stuff from our neighborhood merchants.

Beginning today, Friday, March 27 through Wednesday, April 1, those who participated can turn in their completed Eat & Shop passes to the offices of Assemblyman Jim Brennan and Assemblywoman Rodneyse Bichotte at 1414 Cortelyou Road. Passes can be submitted between the hours of 10am and 5pm.

Upon submitting the completed pass, neighbors will receive an FDC tote bag and will be entered into the grand prize raffle. The winners will be drawn and contacted on Friday, April 3.

As for what’s in the baskets? There’s a huge range of goodies, including gift certificates from Asya, Brooklyn ARTery, Brooklyn Industries, Cafe Madeline, Flatbush Food Co-op, Cortelyou Market by Key Food, Jennifer’s Beauty World, Pilates on Cortelyou, The Farm on Adderley, and Third Root Community Center.

Additionally, the baskets will include a free commercial on Cortelyou Road Radio, a pint of Labyrinth beer from Cortelyou Craft Beer, a copy of keys from Cortelyou Hardware, beer glasses from Highbury Pub, a dessert sampler from Jr. Bella’s Pizza & Pasta, an otterbox from Kaos Computing, a private salsa lesson for two from Latin Fever Dance Studio, a potted plant from Stems, a bottle of Domaine de Bosquet, Gigondas from T.B. Ackerson, and two cocktails from The Castello Plan.

And, remember, you can still get discounts at a long list of Cortelyou shops through Saturday, March 29.
