Bedford Ave Bridge Construction

For anyone who drives, bikes, or walks around the Brooklyn College area, you’ll want to know about the upcoming rehabilitation to the Bedford Avenue Bridge over the LIRR tracks, between Campus Rd and Avenue I.

The Department of Transportation begins work on Monday, July 29 that will close one half of the roadway, parking lane, and sidewalk between 7am and 4pm, Monday through Friday, though two-way traffic will be maintained.

The work includes the repair of cracks and spalls in the deck, abutments, and piers, and more. The anticipated completion of the project is this December. See the Community Board 14 site for more information.
