BED-STUY – A shooting outside of the Armstrong Houses on Clifton Place over the weekend claimed the life of a 24-year old resident, police confirmed today.

At 3:30 am on Saturday, March 10, police responded to a call of a man shot outside the public housing building at 346 Clifton Place, near Nostrand Avenue in Bed-Stuy. Arriving to the scene, they found O’Neal Mosley, 24, with gunshot wounds to his leg and torso, said police.

“He said, ‘Mom, they shot me. I’m dead,’” Daressalaam Mosley, the mother of the victim told the Daily News. “He fell on the floor and I was kissing my son, doing CPR.”

Neighbors heard the shots but were afraid to venture outside, the outlet reported.

Mosley was an honor roll student when he attended the Urban Assembly School for Music and Arts and was currently working at the Target in Downtown Brooklyn, the Daily News reported. Neighbors said that Mosley had left a party when he had been shot, and while some believe there was a dispute involving a woman, other think Mosley was robbed.

“I was looking for his money,” his mom said, stating that O’Neal had just been paid and had gotten his tax return back. Mosley had around $3,000 on him when he was killed, his stepfather Jeremy Mosley told the paper.

So far, there have been no arrests, though an investigation is ongoing.
