Backseat Bandits Snatch $5k Chain at Gunpoint
CYPRESS HILLS – Police are searching for two suspects wanted in connection with an armed robbery that took place in Cypress Hills earlier this month.
On Friday, October 6, just after 1:00 am, a 31-year old man was sitting parked in his white 2017 Honda in the vicinity of Liberty Avenue and Hemlock Street, said police. Suddenly, two men jumped into his car—with a gun.
After showing the victim their weapon, the robbers relieved him of a $5,000 necklace and fled on foot, said police. The victim was left uninjured.
The two suspects can be seen in security footage below.
Police described both of the suspects as black men in their late teens to early 20s, one last seen in a bright green jogging suit, the other in a black hoodie, black pants and white sneakers.
