Background Actors And Extras Needed Today, Tomorrow For New Brighton Beach Movie

Are you Russian, Romanian, Bulgarian or Ukrainian? Do you live in Sheepshead Bay or Brighton Beach and have long dreamed of being in a movie? Well, thanks to filmmaker David Gutnik, you can have your chance

to be an extra in his film “Original Love,” a story about a gangster’s son who is involved in a deep family crisis.

Gutnik, a Southern Brooklyn local who ran a successful Kick Starter campaign to get his movie funded, put out a call for extras and background actors on Craigslist. Here are the relevant details for those who want to participate.

Background Actors Needed for a Russian Family Drama Movie.

Think vodka, sequin dresses, stilettos, and fur. Set in a Russian nightclub in Brighton Beach, this production promises to be fun, sexy and exciting.

We need male/female extras of ALL AGES of EASTERN EUROPEAN DESCENT – Russians, Romanians, Bulgarians, Ukrainians, Georgians, Armenians, Albanians, Serbs – you name it! IF you do not fit this category you are still welcome to join!

The scene is an upscale evening anniversary party at the National restaurant. Extras will need to bring their own wardrobe (well dressed party clothes), and do their own hair and makeup. We are seeking all ages, both men and women, primarily of Russian or eastern European descent. They will be needed Monday April 22, and Tuesday April 23, from roughly noon-10pm, but exact times may be flexible. If you find anyone please get contact information and as much information about their availability as possible. They will be unpaid but some food will be provided. Also, they must be willing to sign an appearance release.

Shoot days for Background Actors
Monday April 22: Noon – 9pm
Tuesday April 23: 11:00am – 10pm

Background Actors will be unpaid, and will supply their own wardrobe and makeup, but food will be provided.

3. You should come dressed for a Russian anniversary party. For ladies, think fun, sexy, elegant dresses and high heel shoes. Dressed to impress. Please have hair and makeup done so that it will last all day. We ask that you stick to a dark, jewel-toned palette. Additionally, please bring a second option if possible. Finally, if you have an overcoat that you would wear with your outfit, please bring along.
