Attend A Vision Zero Meeting Tomorrow Night At Brooklyn College
On Tuesday, April 29, the DOT, NYPD, and representatives for Mayor de Blasio’s Vision Zero campaign will be holding a meeting at the Brooklyn College Student Center (1 Campus Road on the corner of E 27th Street, second floor) to discuss the changes Vision Zero hopes to bring to our area, and neighbors are invited. From 6:30-8:30pm, attendees can learn about particulars of the plan both near us and citywide, and can discuss street projects and ask about problematic (or potentially problematic) roads.
Vision Zero aims to eliminate traffic deaths across New York City, and could prevent future tragedies like neighbor Ngozi Agbim’s death last summer. We have several dangerous thoroughfares in our area–Ocean Parkway, McDonald Avenue, Coney Island Avenue, Albemarle Road, Caton Avenue, the list goes on–so come to the meeting next week, hear what city representatives have to say and voice your feelings on it, and see what scary local roads we can change for the better.
